There are tons of items you can purchase from online auction and shopping website eBay, this being a good thing. But sometimes you will lose an auction and you won’t get the item you want to purchase; and that is bad. To ensure something like that doesn’t happen, you can use specialized software to ensure your success. You can use the Myibidder (formerly Myibay) bid sniper tool.

Getting the Windows version of Myibidder off the web and onto your computer will take very little time; it’s a 6MB download that will be done in a blink. When you proceed to install the application you will be asked to choose between various languages and also to install a toolbar or extension for your browser.

Once the installation process is complete and you launch Myibidder for the first time, you will be asked to log into your eBay account or create an account if you don’t have one yet. You can manually log into your eBay account each time you use Myibidder, or you can set it so that the application automatically logs you in.

After you install the Myibidder toolbar or extension, go to eBay and search for an item you would like to purchase. You will notice that a Snipe It button is displayed. Via this button you can easily add that item to Myibidder. When adding it, you get to enter your bid and the time when the snipping will take place (6 seconds is the default value).

From Myibidder’s interface you can access several functions once an item is added. You can access and change the snipping options, you can look up that item on eBay and you can remove that item from Myibidder. The challenging part is not figuring out how Myibidder works; its interface is user friendly and you shouldn’t have any problems with it. The challenging part is thinking of how much to bid in order to win the auction.

Myibidder is only free to try. This means that you can use it free of charge for a trial of 31 days. Once that trial period is over, you will have to get a license to keep using the application.

Auction snipping made easy – that is what Myibidder has to offer.

Pros

It will take little time to download and install the application. Once it’s up and running, you can set it to automatically log you into your eBay account. To add an item to Myibidder, just click the Snipe It button in your browser window (it will show up after you install a toolbar or extension). The application’s interface is user friendly and getting accustomed to the functionality it has to offer is a straightforward matter. You can use Myibidder free of charge for a lengthy trial period of 31 days.

Cons

The Myibidder extension does not work with Firefox 9.0 at the time of writing this. Some could say that the interface is a little too simple.
